LOCALISATION AND CHARACTERISTICS OF GAME PRESERVE AND PHEASANTRY DUDÍN

The game preserve and the pheasantry are located in the north-eastern part of Podunajská pahorkatina upland, in a subsection of Ipeľská pahorkatina upland, in cadastral territory of Hokovce, 4 km from the spa town Dudince, 169 km from Bratislava and 105 km from Budapest.

Average annual air temperature is 9°C and the area lies 140-250 metres above the sea level. For a long period the highest number of warmest days in Slovakia has been measured here. The game preserve area has 500 ha, of which 250 ha is forest, predominantly an oak forest, and the remaining area is grass areas and arable land.

The game preserve and the pheasantry are well fenced and not available to the public. There are 25 hides and 30 km of observation trails. Well-trained staff takes care of comfort of our guests. The concept of the game preserve is prepared so as to enable the guests to fully use the advantages resulting from a higher concentration of game and to enjoy conditions of a free hunting ground.

In the game preserve we breed deer, fallow deer, mouflon, roe deer and wild boar game, as well as pheasants, wild ducks, rabbits and various bird species. Good observers can spot wild cats, badgers, martens…
